Become a Cub Scout Leader
Parents are the lifeblood of our pack. Without them, our program would be limited and our Scouts would be missing out on the fun.
It is very easy to become a Trained Leader in our pack. ALL the required training can be taken online - so you can take the training at your own pace.
Current Open Positions - Fall 2023
Den Leader - provide leadership in carrying out monthly den activities
Tigers - 1st grade
Lion - Kindergarten
Activities and outdoor coordinator - coordinate special pack events, typically one event per month, and plan and run the quarterly pack campouts
Steps to Leadership
Talk to a current leader (Cubmaster, Pack trainer, Committee Chair, Den Leader) about your willingness to help
Discuss which role would best fit your talents and comfort level
Complete Council Specific Training
Complete Pack Specific Training
Council Specific Training (45 Minutes)
Fill out an Adult Leader Application. A copy can be obtained from the Cubmaster
Go to my.scouting.org and create an account.
Take the following course at my.scouting.org
Youth Protection Training
Print the Youth Protection Training Certificate (available upon completion of the course)
Submit the certificate and the application to the Pack Trainer or Cubmaster
Pack Specific Training
Understand roles and key terms within Cub Scouts
Be willing to work with the scouts.
Be able to coordinate with other leaders and parents.
Review the training documents and prior notes from previous leaders.
Teach others.
